This is a little backwards in the posting but this is the opening of our referral at FTIA.
Here is some of the information that we received in our referral: She was found abandonded at the gate of Hengfeng Social Welfare Institute by a staff member. That same day after a medical examination, she was placed in foster care. When she was found, she was lying in a cardboard box with a bottle, a bag of formula and several clothes.
She gets excited with delight when she sees her foster mother. She cries when she meets strangers (yikes!) and she can raise her upper body up and hold her head up when she is lying on her stomach (that a girl!) It states that she loves to smile and that she is adorable~of course!
It states she gets up at 7:30 am and goes to bed at 8:00 pm...is this a promise?? She drinks formula 4 times a day and eats congee (that was Ellie's favorite!), noodle, egg and mashed vegetable broth.
My favorite part is that her favorite activity is playing outside! I can only imagine she just hangs in her walker!
She weighs almost 13 pounds. Her name means Li-beautiful; Xi-setting sun.

Can't wait to hold her in my arms. As you know you have made me so happy having Ellie and now Emma.
Love to the three of you.
Silly us. We didn't take any pictures of us getting the call, the email, or the packet. Oh well. This is so exciting!
Dale, Laura, and Ellie,
Congratulations! What a wait...and what a reward! Emma is absolutely precious...just like Ellie. So, so, so happy for all of you!
